The West Nile Virus in Europe

 

The Hellenic Pasteur Institute participates in the epidemiological surveillance, prevention, and control of bacterial and viral infectious diseases transmitted to humans by arthropods 

The Department of Diagnostics of the Hellenic Pasteur Institute (HPI), in the context of its collaboration with the Greek Center for Prevention and Disease Control  ( for the epidemiological surveillance, prevention, and control of bacterial and viral infectious diseases  transmitted to humans by arthropods,  offers to the public free diagnostic laboratory tests for the detection of West Nile Virus in patients suspected to have been infected by the WNV. In the same project, the ΚΕ.ΕΛ.Π.ΝΟ  is covering as well the cost of laboratory diagnostic tests for Dengue, Zika and Chinkungunya viruses.
