SYMPOSIUM
“New Era in the Development of Vaccines: From Research to Quality Testing to Clinical Trials”
On October 9th, 2025, the Symposium entitled “New Era in the Development of Vaccines: From Research to Quality Testing to Clinical Trials” was successfully held at the Auditorium of the Hellenic Pasteur Institute, in co-organization with the Millennium Institute Immunology and Immunotherapy, FOCIS Center of Excellence, School of Biological Sciences, School of Medicine, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
The Symposium was the result of the excellent collaboration between Dr. Ioannis Rabias, Head of the Quality Control Laboratory of the Hellenic Pasteur Institute, and Professor Alexis Kalergis, Director of the Millennium Institute Immunology and Immunotherapy, FOCIS Center of Excellence, School of Biological Sciences, School of Medicine, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
The event marked the first symposium of the “Hellenic Pasteur Institute Science Lecture Series”, an initiative launched by Professor Georgios Patrinos, General Director of the Hellenic Pasteur Institute.
During the Symposium, modern scientific approaches to vaccine development were presented, ranging from basic research to quality testing procedures and clinical trials.
The Symposium featured distinguished speakers from Chile, and its successful organization marks the beginning of a new era of collaboration between the two countries in the fields of immunology and biomedical research.
